jetson nano problem with nvidia

yes I have install node js

i have install node js v 12.0.0 on my Mac M1 but the download lasted 20min

It looks like there may be a compatibility issue with the M1 Mac. Do you have an x86 device you can try it on?

no but do you have a solution for my problem ?

it does not work

Hello, as my colleague suggested, you have a compatibility issue from some library in your node project and your Mac M1. This is not really related to balena, but rather the computer you are using. If you could try building in another device or investigate further which library is having issues, this would help solve your problem.

ok thanks for your feedback, if i try to install, an ubuntu virtual machine,
can this work?

I have successfully installed this tool in an Ubuntu 20 VMware VM.

Hello @Jereking did this work for you on the Ubuntu virtual machine?

Hey @Jereking how is it going? did you succeed flashing the jetson nano?

I checked internally and the NVIDIA flashing tools are not supported on Mac M1 type of devices. Let us know if you have the chance to use another machine.

Hello, this still does not work.
Do you have a solution to download virtual box on Mac M1

@Jereking best solution to flash your device is to do it with a different machine (not the M1). NVIDIA recommends here these host machines:

  • Ubuntu Desktop 16.04, 18.04, and 20.04 on x86_64 system
  • CentOS 7.6, 8.0, and 8.2 on x86_64
  • Red Hat 7.6, 8.0, and 8.2 on x86_64

Do you think you can access to one x86_64 machine?

I can replicate this problem on 2 different Ubuntu Desktops running 18.04 and 20.04 on x86_64 systems. I’m able to use an older build from April however, so we’ve continued to do that. Similar to the above, we get stuck at the exact same place - checking installable status of clone@1.0.4

Running Node 12.22.12 and npm 6.14.16
