I’m trying to get Linux mint onto a flash stick. I uploaded the file and selected the usb. I then said continue. I’ve tried about 4 times and its still not working. Any ideas on what I should do. Any help is fine. I’m a little stuck. Its my first time.

Which version of Etcher are you using? If you haven’t done so, please upgrade to the latest version. Have you tried a different flash stick? If so, do you still get an error?
On Windows you can use CTRL - SHIFT - I to access the developer console and see any detailed error messages in the log within the console tab. If there are any errors here feel free to post them so we can investigate further.
Thank you very much for replying. I will try a different usb stick. Regarding the update, Its recently installed and is on the latest version. I will also try the ctl - shift command you suggested. Thank you again. I’ll get back if I run into any further issues
I am having the same problem. Validation completes and process finishes, but this I get flash failed screen. Pasting text from console below…

Hi,
the reason for your error is there in the logs.
Your flashing and verification is completed successfully, just the removal of the device ran into an issue. Your device should work fine, go ahead and try booting from it.
I agree that the message on the UI is confusing, it is already in progress to improve on that.
