I tired to use the balenaetcher to jailbrake an iphone 8 but was not successful. It so happened that balenetcher could not break the ios 15 or later. so it was a lost effort. However for this attempt I used 2 Sandisk usb memory pens with the size 256gb. Balenaetcher formatted them for the purpose of flashing Checkn1x for the jailbreak and now the memories have lost the capacity of 256gb but show 100kb size. How v=can I format these drives to restore the total size again?
Hi @filip5, balenaEtcher isn’t able to restore the drives for you, I have created a pattern internally for the etcher team to discuss adding this feature, but for now you will need to search for a restoration tool, I hope you find one!
Thank you for the advise. That will help because I paid around $40.00 for each of them and I don’t want to throw them away. The fact is that etcher shows correct drive size so it should be able to restore its volume, windows don’t recognize the drive size, maybe the protocol needs to be fixed.
