Etcher has been working but now fails

Etcher has been working fine but now fails every time, even after removal and reinstall.
Here is a copy of log.

Hi,

Are you running Etcher with admin permissions? Try starting Etcher w/o that usually gives this (Error: EPERM: operation not permitted,) error as it may not have enough permissions to query/write the SD card.

That made it work.
I am an Administrator User account and like I said it has been working fine for months, and now it just started to crash EVERY time.
So, I switched to using Rufus and it works fine.
I did what you suggested, and it works,
Any ideas why it was working then stopped unless I right clicked and ran as Administrator?

Unfortunately, it is hard to know what changed unless we kept some sort of log history to check. But we’ll keep this issue in mind; just in case we see a repeat of such behavior.
