Cannot connect to WIFI Balena Sound raspberry pi 3

I used the same button too. Is there any new update?

I deployed it 4 days ago.

Hello Jose, Please could you describe the problem you are having (It might be best to do this in a new thread as it seems there are multiple issues already on this one).

I deployed it on Saturday, November 14 and it worked. I am not sure if it has a new update. Best of luck.

Hi guys,
I have a similar problem. I have flashed the SD card for a RPI 3B and for RPI 4 with all latest options chosen from the Balena cloud and used balenaEtcher. I have selected Ethernet+Wifi but I have plugged a eth cable to be safe for now. Everytime I startup the device it just does this

01.07.21 16:50:10 (+0200) Supervisor starting
01.07.21 16:50:13 (+0200) Applying configuration change {"SUPERVISOR_POLL_INTERVAL":"900000","SUPERVISOR_DELTA":"1","SUPERVISOR_DELTA_VERSION":"3"}
01.07.21 16:50:13 (+0200) Applied configuration change {"SUPERVISOR_POLL_INTERVAL":"900000","SUPERVISOR_DELTA":"1","SUPERVISOR_DELTA_VERSION":"3"}
01.07.21 16:50:13 (+0200) Creating network 'default'

The status is ā€œOnlineā€ but it seems like no container/service is loaded for any connection and I cannot find it via bluetooth, Airplay or Spotify ā€¦ Please help!

I am inside my company (guest) network and there shouldnā€™t be any port restrictions etc.
Could this still be an issue?

Hi there, could you confirm that your application has a balena sound release pushed to it? Releases can be seen by clicking on ā€œreleasesā€ on the right hand side of the dashboard, when looking at the application view

Hi,
I just have found this post: balenaSound no services on raspberry pi 3b - #5 by alanb128

You are right, I some how missed to get a release on the OS as I thought the OS would install it by itself :slight_smile:

All services seem up and running, I can find the device in bluetooth and also in Spotify BUT when trying to connect in Spotify it just says "connecting ā€¦ " and in the log is:

01.07.21 17:22:15 (+0200) spotify [2021-07-01T15:22:15Z INFO librespot_core::session] Connecting to AP "gew1-accesspoint-a-dv19.ap.spotify.com:4070"

UPDATE: I gotta configure credentials lol I should just start reading the whole doc. What if I am using as my Spotify login my Facebook ā€œeasy loginā€? Should I use my Facebook credentials then?

Hi there, nice one! Almost there, let us know how it goes, or if you have any more questions :slight_smile:

thats a good question, Iā€™m actually not sure - did you try it? Iā€™m not familiar with the facebook login option, but is it a total replacement for the password on spotify? Iā€™ll ask the team about it

I did find my Spotify username by checking my account through www.spotify.com. The username is a longer number. I also reseted my password so I am sure to have the valid password. Unfortunately I still cannot play music through Spotify. I get this log but cannot find the device in Spotify:

After a couple of minutes I also got:

01.07.21 17:22:37 (+0200) spotify [2021-07-01T15:22:37Z ERROR librespot] Could not connect to server: Connection timed out (os error 110)

Is that error happening consistently, even after reboots etc? Iā€™m not familiar with the error message, but it looks like thereā€™s some issue connecting. What sort of network setup do you have with the device?

I re-read a bit of this one, and you said you are on a corporate network. I wonder if itā€™s being firewalled / filtered. Youā€™ll need to be able to resolve that domain name in question: "gew1-accesspoint-a-mr5t.ap.spotify.com:4070"
