balenaOS and Banana Pi BPI-M5

Hey.

Today I tried getting my BPI-M5 to run on my Balena cloud, but with no success. There is support for the M1+ but I can’t get the M5 to boot.

I also tried a Generic AARCH64 image, but to no avail.

Did anyone successfully get the M5 to run as a Balena device? The prices and availability for comparable Raspberry Pis are simply unacceptable at this point… so it would be nice to have a powerful and relatively cheap alternative.

Hi @xdiv,

We haven’t created compatibility with the M5. The M1+ was created by customer demand, so it might be helpful if you could tell us the size of project it’s meant to be used for?
