Balena Container OS

Hi,

If you want to manage devices that are currently not supported by balenaOS, then You will have to port balenaOS to that new device. In you example the android TV.

To port balenaOS to a new device it might be best to look at the meta-balena repository (https://github.com/balena-os/meta-balena). BalenaOS uses yocto. There is also this link on the homepage on how to add device support for a new device: https://www.balena.io/os/docs/custom-build/#supporting-your-own-board

so this balena OS should be Guest OS or Host OS in the case of TV

Hi @nitu.gupta,

In this case, you would be porting balenaOS as Host OS for your android TV device. As per the links my colleague suggested above, you can follow the guides to porting balenaOS for your custome device(android TV). This balenaOS-powered device would then either connect to an openBalena instance or balenaCloud.

Let us know how it turns out

Thanks,
Regards,
Rahul
