Light themes are straining on the eyes. Build in support for a light / dark theme for the Balena dashboard.
Vipul Gupta: Till it comes around, Dark Reader extension has been helping me a lot. Thanks for the suggestion. I will add this roadmap item to the existing issue in dashboard’s GitHub repository.
Small update here: we have been slowly moving away from our old in-house UI library Rendition to the more standard, community-maintained MUI library. At the same time we have been re-working our design foundations, starting with our color system which is now more fit for use in modern interfaces: https://design.balena.io/?path=/docs/foundations-colors–docs
We recently integrated this new color system into the dashboard, and this enables the possibility of adding more themes for the dashboard. While the creation of new themes is not planned yet, this is something that we are keeping on our radar.
