On Monday (Nov 18th) at 21:00UTC we reported rolling cloudlink outages that lasted until 21:00UTC the next day. During that time we were unable to use devices that had cloudlink established because of how incredibly slow the connection was. This affected over 600 devices in multiple fleets, spread across North America. According to https://status.balena.io/ there was no “downtime” for this event.
If what happened recently isn’t “downtime”, then what are the qualifying metrics for “downtime”? We went 24 hours without the ability to access devices via ssh, modify devices’ software, or use the public URL function. If the Balena.io website was offline during that time period, it wouldn’t have been any worse than the “Elevated device URLs/VPN errors”.
