Unable to write to /sys/devices/platform/bone_capemgr/slots file

Although /sys/devices/platform/bone_capemgr/slots file exists and I can see the contents by doing a cat on it, when I run echo BB-UART1 > /sys/devices/platform/bone_capemgr/slots , it throws back an error saying “No such file or directory”.

What am I missing.

Hi there @agaurav.

As noted in this thread (and further here), the slots file has been deprecated upstream and you need to enable overlays by manipulating /mnt/boot/uEnv.txt.
