Unable to extract image digest (content hash)

Hello everyone,

I have been an openBalena user since this week. I tried to release a new release using the command: balena deploy myFleet --build. After the container build is complete, it appears that the deployment is at 100% after which I get this message in the balena CLI:
[Error] Deploy faile
d
Unable to extract image digest (content hash) from image upload progress stream for image:
registry2.mydomain.com/v2/numberofrelease:latest

Looking through the registry container logs on the server, I see this message:

registry-1 | ERRO[207486] response completed with error auth.user.name=admin err.code=“manifest unknown” err.detail=“unknown tag=latest” err.message=“manifest unknown” go.version=go1.20.8 http.request.host=registry2.mydomain.com http.request.id=numberofid http.request.method=HEAD http.request.remoteaddr=“::ffff:ipnumber” http.request.uri=“/v2/v2/numberofrelease/manifests/latest” http.request.useragent=“docker/27.2.0 go/go1.21.13 git-commit/3ab5c7d kernel/5.15.153.1-microsoft-standard-WSL2 os/linux arch/amd64 containerd-client/1.7.21+unknown storage-driver/overlayfs UpstreamClient(Go-http-client/1.1)” http.response.contenttype=“application/json; charset=utf-8” http.response.duration=5.064059ms http.response.status=404 http.response.written=96 vars.name=“v2/numberofrelease” vars.reference=latest

openBalena is running on Ubuntu Server 22.04.5 LTS.
api version v30.2.7
registry version v2.41.11
Automatic SSL is activated.
I have currently newest version of balena CLI.

Thank you for your help :slight_smile:

Problem solved! I don’t know why but this problem was only on Windows. Using Linux (but not WSL) everything is working :slight_smile:
