Memory leak in openbalena-haproxy

Hy everyone

we had that issue, that the vpn and root certificates expired.

After the tutorial of that forum, i was able to get everything working.

But now we have the issue, that the open-balena containers need 8GB of RAM.

At first we had 4GB of RAM, after the certificate we saw that the system needs more. Then we doubled it.

Now the HAProxy needs some Gigabytes.

After one day, the API-Container have no memory anymore and it crashes.

I also have the issue that the openbalena-cert-manager-1 is restarting once a minute.

The script is huge, should it realy stop?

Can the restart behaviour of the cert-manager lead to that issue?

With best regards Philipp

i figured out that the openbalena-cert-manager-1 have an issue and is restarting all 20s.

The HA Proxy container have a watchdog direct to the /cert folder.

Cert-Manager is changing timestamp from 2 files and the HA Proxy watchdog will trigger an restart.

Due that fact, the memory is increasing and increasing.

After one day the openbalen-api container is not able to allocate new memory and it crashs.

The new version of that container got an fix and i tried to update the system.

But now the new S3 Version (>3) have breaking changes and the file System of the storage is not readable anymore…
