I would like a data server that provides for both smb and nfs, ideally from a ui front-end; so I’m not creating new releases every time i want a new share.
Any projects that meet that criteria?

Also, are you looking to use this data server/file share server independent of kodi? And what is the target device you are looking to run this on?
We do have a smb share which you can take a look at and expand if that serves the purpose: GitHub - balena-io-experimental/balena-samba: Share your USB drive over the network using your IoT device..

Was coming from an angle of only allow specific hosts in the export list, bit that’s not actually necessary. SMB wouldnt be terrible.
