Sorry to hear this didn’t help. I’ve a couple of suggestions. The first is that preloading should really be run through the balena-cli balena preload command, as that’s the officially supported version. Could you please install this using the instructions here, and then try again with a balenaCloud image/application (doing this will help us narrow the issues down, as we obviously have no control over your openBalena instance), using DEBUG=1 balena preload ....
Could you please let us know if that works, or if it shows the same issue?
My suspicion is that if this still shows the same error, then this may be an issue with the Docker daemon allowing hostnames to be resolved in the preloader container, which might indicate a problem with your Docker setup.
