Existing Fleet of devices want to deploy Balena

I have a number of Raspberry Pi SBCs deployed in remote locations. I recently found Balena and would like to modernize our processes around updating our software on the deployed PIs.

Is there a way to remotely add balena to the already deployed systems?
From reading the docs it sounds like I might be able to deploy the balena supervisor to my existing endpoints, is that a good aproach? https://github.com/balena-io/balena-supervisor
