"docker load" not working

Hi,
I got my balenaFin yesterday and flashed the balena raspbian on the device. Now I want to start a docker container that was built on my host computer. So I copied the container to balenaFin via scp and tried to import it with docker load -i 20200108_pi-robot.tar.
After a while I get an error:

On retry the error appears on different layers. The container works on other Raspberry Pi 3 without problems. The md5sum is the same on my host and Fin.

Is the eMMC be corrupt? How can I check this?

Are you able to compare the output of sha256sum for the 20200108_pi-robot.tar file on bothyour local machine and the Fin? It seems unlikely that the eMMC would be an issue, but not impossible.

Never mind, I see that you’ve already compared the checksums of the tar files. What versions of Docker generated the container export?

Ok that seems weird. I checked the sha256sum again and it was different so I did it multiple times on balenaFin to be sure:

Why says df -h that /dev/root is mounted?

Excellent question. Check the contents of /etc/mtab although my guess is that it’s something to do with device mapper.
Can you check dmesg to see if there are any kernel-level issues with the device?

Hi frederico,

raspbian has no resinos.fingerprint so I flashed a fresh balenaOS image to the Fin and ran the command:

after this nothing happens. When I press enter the ssh connection closes. So it’s a bad eMMC? I also tried a different power supply and remounted the compute module.
