controllino after update

@Ondevento @suporte due to changes with the new Raspberry Pi OS, the RPi.GPIO library commonly used has been deprecated, so it is not compatible with the newer OS versions.

Check out Raspberry Pi’s History of GPIO usage document (PDF) for tips on GPIO libraries compatible with the Raspberry Pi including libgpiod.

Can you update the gpio version from the software?

Hi @mpous ,

Regarding this issue.

I noticed that at balena you are not allowing to update OS version to 6.4.2 version on the dashboard anymore.

Do you think there is any possibility of allowing that for a while?

We have to discontinue the use of GPIO libraries but that will take a while, meanwhile i cannot update our fleets units OS version to 6.4.2 because it’s blocked and if we update it to 6.5.x it will brake our units because of the unsuported GPIO libs.

Any possibility of allowing us to update our fleet to 6.4.2 meanwhile, enabling that option on the dashboard?

Best regards

@suporte just replied in the other ticket that you opened here.

In the balenaCloud dashboard, you selected multiple devices and we disable all the OS versions equal or lower than the one currently running on the devices, since downgrades are not possible. The recommendation here is to use filters to exclude the devices already running this OS version, and then apply the select all version.

Let us know if that fix your issue!
