I recently ordered a new keyboard and mouse to use with my new Raspberry Pi 4B (4 G). I used an older set I had on hand until the new ones arrived. I loaded and ran Fold for Coivd on the device. It’s been doing fine. I swapped the new keyboard and mouse for the ones previously connected and now it seems they don’t work. I did reboot the device and that doesn’t seem to help either. I can still access and control the install from a web browser.
Did I do something wrong? Is there a way to “fix” this? I’m not a “command-line person”, if that’s not already obvious. I’m fairly proficient with technology, just not in a command-line environment.
Since posting this there has been one recent post where a user (who seems to understand this far better than I do) claims their keyboard and mouse connected directly to the Pi4 never operated.
In retrospect, it’s possible mine didn’t either. I don’t remember now. I never had to use them to accomplish any task. It seems at least one other person than myself can’t use input devices connected directly to the Pi4 running this, but access through another device using the web interface works.
It might be worth looking into by whoever manages the project.
PS. I would change the title to “Keyboard and mouse not working” but I don’t see a way to edit it.
