Use TX2 CAN Bus

I’d like to use the CAN Bus from my TX2 on a ConnectTech Spacely carrier board. The can0 interface does not appear in the host or container environments when listing interfaces with ifconfig -a.

Is it possible to enable this interface within Balena?

Can you do modprobe can-dev in the hostOS?

Hi @chachi,

The kernel modules should be loaded automatically if you have a CAN node in device tree. So no need to do manual modprobe.

So the CAN node needs to be added in the device tree for this.
