Hello,
I just revived and old but still usable Macbook pro 2011. This mac kind have a hardware problem: one of the two video card is faulty (AMD one, soldering issue) and have to be deactivated at boot time to get a readable screen.
I use Debian Trixie.
To disable early the amd card, I have to poke a nvram variable details here if you want
Just in case my install brake for whatever reason, I want to have a booting usb pen. Presently I use a ventoy one with a not so good result, but it’s difficult to test (I don’t want to brake my config only for testing purpose).
So my question is: is it possible to run a bash (or json, or…) script before booting a debian pen?
of course if I ask here it’s because balena etcher is the tool of choice to create the pen, and It seems Rufus do some similar thing.
my goal is to plug the pen, press option eventually choose blindly an option and start installing debian
thanks
