Hi @hfnrisheeb thanks for trying Etcher and welcome to the forums 🙂 Have you tried running Etcher as administrator? You can do this by right clicking on the icon for Etcher and selecting “Run as administrator” ---

Thank you for looking into my issue. Yes, after going through this forum, I did run it as administrator. I am getting the same error. Tried installing older version as was suggested in some posts that didn’t work, I think the last two digits of that update was 95. ---

Hi Rishee, Do you by any chance have Chrome Remote Desktop running on the Windows 7 machine. It can create permission issues with Etcher. Just something to rule out. John ---

I had the same problem -ran as admin as suggested - works now! Thing is I have admin rights by default in Windows 7, so why do we have to run as admin for the program? Strange!
