# Update device descriptor in Balena

Is there a way to change the device descriptor (serial number, device name, etc.) through the Balena interface?  
maybe this can also be done at the level of Balena OS?

Hello,  
Do you mean to refer to the Hardware/Revision/Serial for RaspberryPi devices that are reflected in /proc/cpuinfo?
