[Done] Active Directory SAML Integration for balenaCloud

Allow balenaCloud user management to be integrated with AD to provide more visibility and control over different user accounts.

A default SAML integration ability would go a long way and would be compatible with more than only (Azure) Active Directory.

Shaun Mulligan: For those of you eagerly awaiting the SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) feature, we have some fantastic news! The team has been working super hard to bring this to you, and we’re thrilled to announce that SSO using SAML will be rolling out in the next week or so.

With SAML SSO, managing user access and enhancing security across your organization will be more streamlined than ever. This feature will allow you to integrate your identity provider seamlessly with balenaCloud, providing a smoother and more secure login experience for your team. Currently, this feature is available to organizations on the Enterprise Plan. However, we are exploring ways to make it accessible to all plans, as we believe that making security easy is important for everyone.

We can’t wait for you to start using it. If you’re curious and want a sneak peek of what this looks like, you can check out the documentation PR here: https://github.com/balena-io/docs/pull/3019

Stay tuned for the official release and thank you for your continued support and patience. We’re excited to see how SAML SSO will help streamline your workflows and improve your experience with balenaCloud.

Cheers,
Shaun
