# creating a persistent partition (1.5.122 portable)

Hello  
I’ve burned a pendrive with the portable version 1.5.122 and didn’t find the way to create a persistent partition. ¿Is there a way to do this?

Hi,

Ether is an image flasher, it doesn’t offer persistence feature. Although it is being discussed [here in our Github issues](https://github.com/balena-io/etcher/issues/413). There are some app which provide these options in-built i’d suggest you look in to them, one of them I know is UNetbootin.
