# Cannot create Boot Media

Hi there, there is a [thread](https://forums.balena.io/t/write-error-to-usb/174499/18) on the forums suggesting this issue be down to missing Microsoft dependencies. Can you please check if the appropriate dependencies for your version of windows are installed? Also, making sure that the ether build matches the OS (i.e. 32 vs 64 bit).
