Hey.

Today I tried getting my BPI-M5 to run on my Balena cloud, but with no success. There is support for the M1+ but I can’t get the M5 to boot.

I also tried a Generic AARCH64 image, but to no avail.

Did anyone successfully get the M5 to run as a Balena device? The prices and availability for comparable Raspberry Pis are simply unacceptable at this point… so it would be nice to have a powerful and relatively cheap alternative.

Hi @xdiv,

We haven’t created compatibility with the M5. The M1+ was created by customer demand, so it might be helpful if you could tell us the size of project it’s meant to be used for?

If it’s for a smaller project, you might consider some of our other RPi4 alternative devices, in particular:

- PINE64 ROCKPro64: [ROCKPro64 | PINE64](https://www.pine64.org/rockpro64/)
- Radxa ROCK 4B: [Rock Pi 4 - the next generation RPI.](https://rockpi.org/rockpi4)

Otherwise, the full list of hardware we support can be found here: [devices](https://www.balena.io/devices)
