Atm, there are no official builds for balenaEtcher on M1 but there are community builds though that are available as mentioned in this GitHub issue: Community builds · Issue #3714 · balena-io/etcher · GitHub, you can give these a try and see if they work out for you. The discussion is still ongoing about the issues related to M1 builds or a universal build for that instance which you can track here: regression: 1.7.0 is not 'universal' for both Intel and ARM/M1/AppleSilicon Macs anymore · Issue #3593 · balena-io/etcher · GitHub
